JD – Beijing Cloud Services Engineering Center -- Server SW Manger
Department Description:
Motorola Mobility Beijing Cloud Service Engineering center is a part of Global Cloud Services Engineering
organization within Motorola Mobility, who designs, develops, and deploys software that serves millions of smart
phone subscribers globally with industrial leading mobile client and server end-to-end solutions. Our software
solutions bring all types of cloud services to mobile phones, allowing users to get information at their fingertips.
Currently, we are working intensively on delivering industrial leading app and services products for the Android
platform smart phones, which will bring mobile users innovative experience on social networking and multimedia
and etc.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
As a member of Beijing Cloud Engineering center's leadership team. you will have responsibility
to lead a team of SW engineers to work on technology innovation and product implementation.
Lead team on all aspects of SW features implementation of cloud services , including strong
capabilities on requirements analysis, partner solutions evaluations, architecture proposals,
and development execution. Besides working closely with other SW engineering teams in the
department, this individual will be interfacing with Product Management, Quality Assurance,
Operations, and technical counter parts of partner companies. A successful candidate is
expected to work with other teams at different time zone, and able to handle about 10% travel
Required Technical Skills/Experience:
•
Minimum 7 years of SW engineering experience with at least 2 years as a SW
engineering manager, experienced mentoring and leading development teams
Strong experience developing web applications using Java/J2EE
Prior experience on cloud computing is desired
Past work on mobile services for client/server E2E solution is a plus
Extensive experience with frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, Ibatis, Log4j, etc.
Experience leading architecture, design & development using agile methodologies
Experience in application server clustering, performance tuning and scalability testing
Experience with XML technologies
Good knowledge on mysql and Cassandra
